Ive lived quite a production life to date, Ive always enjoyed the great outdoors and the
rewarding things it can offer from skiing in Alaska to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the great outdoors represents freedom and excitement.

Travelling and Expeditions to the unknown has always been with me from a very young age from when I joined the Beavers moving up the ranks to the Cubs and evidently the Scouts, my memories will always be fond of this, the Scouts aim to support young people in thier physical, mental and spiritual development. Primary activities include camping, woodcraft, aquatics, hiking, backpacking and sports. After this I wanted to give something back to the community I had always been interested in Voluntary Sector work, joining M.A.G Moorlands Action Group.

Moorlands Action Group was formed in 2003 and the group began operating in febuary 2004 filling a huge gap in the provision for disabled and able young people living in the area.
The group is made up of youngsters aged 8-18, who's aim it is to help others in our local community. Moorlands Action Group achieve this in a number of ways, one of which being a Saturday morning club. The aim of this club is to encourage the integration of able and disabled teenagers working on a number of activities together on an equal basis.

The teenagers are made up mostly of students from my local school where I used to attend. The group offers the youngsters qualifications in a wide variety of topics with the help of training provided by the local council.

I joined the Royal Navy at a young age as a Warfare Specialist and set off for my Phase 1 training at HMS Raleigh, this is where my real adventure began. HMS Raleigh is the Royal Navy's premier training establishment in the South West where all ratings joining the Service recieve the first phase of thier Naval training. The nine week phase one training course is designed to be challenging, excitin, maritime in its focus and relevant to the operational enviroment individuals will find themselves in. It aims to develop individuals as part of a team, inculcate naval ethos and a sense of being part of the naval family.

HMS Raleigh also provides professional courses in military training, seamanship, logistics and submarine operations as well as vital training for ship's team preparing for operational deployments. Raleigh is also home to the band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Plymouth, where I had the pleasure and enjoyable experience of them playing at my Passing Out Parade.
The establishment is located at the South East corner of Cornwall on the outskirts of the town of Torpoint in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

I got my first ship HMS Portland, She was launched at the shipyard of the then Marconi Marine at Scotstown on the Clyde on 15th May 1999 by Lady Heather Brigstocke.
The Ship was accepted into service by the Royal Navy on 15th December 2000 and was commissioned on the 3rd of May the following year. The penultimate in a class of fifteen ships, she achieved a top speed of 30.8 knots during contractor's sea trails in the Summer of 2000 and claims this as a record across the entire class. During the Ship's first visit to the Island of Portland in June 2001, the Earl of Portland gave his blessing to the Ship adopting his family motto ''Craignez Honte'', which translates as ''Fear Dishonour''. The family crest is also depicted on the flag HMS Portland flies whilst carrying out replenishment as sea operations.
Having sailed to a number of different countries around the world including Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, I decided I wanted more of a adventure and was seconded to the Royal Marines.

I arrived at CTCRM Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, its the principal military training centre for the Royal Marines of the British Armed Forces. It is situated near the village of Lympstone, between the city of Exeter and the town of Exmouth in Devon. The centre delivers new entry training to recruits and officers as well as specialist trade training and command course for Non-commissioned officers (NCO) and officers of the Royal Marines, Royal Marines Reserve including the wider armed forces

After completing the 32 week intensifing training program and a 30 miler over the barons of dartmoor I was sent to 42 Commando Plymouth where I joined the Rifles. Later electing to specialise in one of the trades that are available. After going on a expedition where I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with its three volcanic cones, Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira is an inactive stratovolcano in North-Eastern Tanzania rising 4,600m (15,000ft) from its base (and approximately 5,100m (16,700ft) from the plains near Moshi) is additionally the highest peak in Africa at 5,891.8 metres (19,330 ft) providing me a dramatic view of what life is about.
